Due to excessive use of my fan art, the Tomb gets the majority of its questions in this category^^*.

DID YOU DRAW ALL OF THESE LITTLE KNOWNS?
Yes. I wouldn't put "don't steal my art" pop-ups everywhere if it wasn't my art. It's a lot of fun to draw everything in the Tomb, gives it s personalized touch; it holds my interest and gives me motivation to continue to maintain the site. I'm among the few little web mistresss who's actually drawing my own stuff; makes me feel special^.^.

WHY FAN ART?

Why not? There are not many- if any at all- full body color pictures of any of these little knowns. Most pics you do find are just black & white or color stained manga pics that never show the full view, and, nothing personal, but I DON'T WANT TO BE LIKE EVERYONE ELSE! Where's the fun in that? If I have the means and talent to create full body color images, I'll take it! I also like the personal touch it adds to my Tomb while giving me an excuse to do what I have the most fun doing- art.
Overall, I've gotten a great deal of positive reviews on using my art instead of manga pics. Only one person has ever emailed me to complain about my use of fan art, but that person sounded, well, a teensy bit jealous in her complaint, so I can't say I took it it too seriously. It's my site. The art stays. Period.

CAN I USE YOUR FAN ART ON MY SITE?

PLEASE EMAIL ME AND ASK PERMISSION BEFORE YOU TAKE!!!! This has got to be the most frequently asked question of them all!
My limit for the "can I have" is 3, peoples. Uno, dous, tres! Ichi, ni, san! I'm not going to send you every single picture here; I don't want little Tomb clones running about the net. Let's keep things original if we can. I'm sure you're capable of coming up with your own graphics and ideas, ne?
If you just want the art to print it out and admire it::stares at the nice people for a while:: I'm ok with that ^^*. But if you use it on a webpage please give me credit.
I work hard on each little senshi graphic picture you see around here, and I don't do this to have them stolen! Graphics take a while, people, especially when they're graphics you've drawn, and its heart wrenching when you find some lazy kid who just couldn't think of an original thought /graphic decided to take your art  instead:*( !
I'm not stingy . I realize that its hard, or in some cases, impossible to find full color pics of any of these characters, because their creator Takeuchi never made one. I find it flattering that people think my art is worthy of display on their pages, and as long as people put my art to good use and give me credit for it, I don't mind at all, but do ask first, and tell me what you're planning if you can. Some people have done some really flattering things with my work, like Butterfly Wings with a Papillon,  Michiru.net with a Siren, Crescent Eclipse with a Mermaid Siren, and even Tsuki Eiei with a more recent Papillon. I don't mind this at all- I'm honored to see people find my work good enough for their sites, but all of them did ask and warn me first, and all gave proper credit.
I've found pages where people took my art without politely giving me credit, sometimes even claiming it was their own. One person even took my page content, word for word, along with my pics!!!!! Needless to say, I've made most of their online lives a living hell till they either gave me credit or found other pics to use.
Just be nice and ask before you take, k? Thank you!

CAN I USE YOUR ART IN MY FAN ART GALLERY?

Whenever I hear this question, it just invokes a sinking feeling in my stomach as I  see how many of you are missing the point of the Tomb and just staring at the pretty pictures. Again. This is why I took the gallery out of the Tomb to begin with.
Yes, I use a lot of my fan art here, and I enjoy doing so, but the art is only to serve illustrative purposes, meaning that it's there to help clarify the accompanying text.  They are there because many of Takeuchi's works of the Animates et al tend not to illustrate the full body of the character, so I just draw to clarify.  It's also a lazy-ass thing to do, on my part, being that, with the image there, I don't have to write out a fuku description for everyone(mwahahahha) but I digress.
Few people without thorough study of the arts can properly discern the difference for when a picture is a picture, and when a picture is an illustration. I don't mean to sound like a snobby biatch here, but it's true, so let me show you the fine line:

llustration n 1: artwork that helps make something clear or attractive 2: showing by example [syn: exemplification] 3: a single item of information that is representative of a type; "this patient provides a typical example of the syndrome"; "there is a good example on page10" [syn: example, instance, representative] 4: a visual representation (a picture or diagram) that is used make some subject more pleasing or easier to understand

picture \Pic"ture\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. Pictured; p. pr. & vb. n. Picturing.] To draw or paint a resemblance of; to delineate; to represent; to form or present an ideal likeness of; to bring before the mind.

.  See the difference yet? Illustrations, like the text they appear with, are meant to be visual *teachers*. They area type of picture, but they are not imaged for gallery display, like an elaborate Monet or Van Gogh or kickass Barachan.  If you slap the Tomb pictures into some gallery glob, then you suck the meaning, purpose, and life out of them. The don't teach anything, and they become a flat, mindless form. (I personally don't think they're good enough to stand up on their own like a true composition, but then, I feel all my art sucks rocks to a max degree.)  Placing the Iron Mouse drawing in, say, Suzie's Fluffy Moon Magic Gallery just because it 'looks cool' would serve no point and do it no justice. It would be better if it were placed in Ironmouse.net 's layouts, or Chuu!'s gallery, because here, the image retains its illustrative purpose and emphasizes its placement- in IRON MOUSE places. This is why I let ANIMATE SHRINE galleries borrow my work if they ask for it, like at Crow's Nest, Heavy Metal, and Tin Nyanko's Catbox and Golden eyes. They're also nice enough to give me credit for the work. Except the Catbox. She's kinda inconsiderate with her fan art display...
Basically, consider the Tomb to be a big, informative, colorful display case. The purdy pictures inside the display case help illustrate the point of the text, and vice versa, and while you can pull the text out and touch it up a bit so it can stand on its own, you can't do the same for the image. Leave it in the display case, because placing it in a gallery is simply sticking it into a public folder and writing "free for all" on the cover. I might argue the same of placing pictures on the net, period, but that's another can of worms. You can also consider the Tomb my fan art gallery, if you want, and like many fan artist, I draw mainly for my own gallery, not for yours.
So, really, if you ask for my art with the intent to stick it in your generalized BSSM gallery, I'll likely tell you no. Please, please, please don't do this. I draw for the intent of illustration my literal points, and while I'm happy and flattered you like my work, I really don't want to see it placed in some little gallery where it can be clicked, taken, and openly butchered or credit neglected. While you say you'll give me credit and such, and you know the little rules I make for art use, there's no stopping the meanie who takes my work off your gallery, who doesn't know the rules and doesn't give a ship :-(. This is why I put javalocks on most of the images here; they're my precious little babies ;.; I don't bring them into the world and to your monitor so they can be massacred like they were two years ago;.; it was this evil that led me to put locks up to begin with.
So PLEASE do not use my work in your fan art gallery, unless you have an Animate site you want to use certain images in. If my art gets displayed in any online gallery some day, it will likely be in my own one, or to someone I trust more than a random asker. Sorry about that long rant o'mine, and thank you for reading through it...

CAN YOU DRAW SOMETHING FOR ME?

Usually I enjoy doing stuff like this, but lately it's been getting out of hand. Occassionaly I draw fan fic senshi, like I did for Sailor Utopia once, but I liked his story and did that by inspiraion, not by request. If you're going to request a fan ficcy something of me you'd better be a damn good writer, because I "see" characters in what's written; this is how I draw. It also helps if you already have fan work I can base things off of, but you can't just throw a name at me and say "draw this"because I WILL NOT CREATE A SENSHI FOR YOU. Get an imagination and get cracking, because I'll only help, not start. Also, on you RPG senshi,  I require #1 a good story and #2 that you've already been accepted to this RPG.

For now, I'll have to say NO. I'll be going back to school from Aug 30-Dec23, far, far away from my beloved computer and scanner, so even if I could draw you something I couldn't get it to you. Either way, I won't have the time to waste on such things. Besides, I'm slowing getting sick of drawing all this stuff and not drawing much for myself. Lethe needs some time out to be selfish- bear with her:-P.

CAN YOU TEACH ME HOW TO DRAW?

All fan artist get this question, and I'm no exception.
No, I can't teach you how to draw. There's no quick miracle technique to it. It's just a talent that takes patience, practice, practice, practice and a love for what you're doing. Not even teachers can teach you how; they're just guides, and only you can find the way you draw best.
How did I learn? I've always loved to draw and make art work, since I was very little. I actually come from a long line of artisans on my mother's side of the family, but I'm not too sure such a talent can actually be inherited. Anyways, I've never had any of those expensive private art teachers, just public school art teachers, and what I teach myself through constant practice, patience, and observation of my surroundings. That's all I can say, really. If you want to draw, love to draw, and have the determination and patience to practice drawing, you will learn to draw. No teacher required.

WHAT DO YOU USE?

Nothing fancy, unless you'd count Prismacolor as fancy. Just color pencils, crayola markers, and the program I use for most all of the graphics in here is Paint Shop Pro 5 and 6. For the front image of Sailor Lethe, that was just pen and ink colored in Photoshop 5.02. The new series of the Tomb I'm working on may end up mostly CGed and marker, being that, while I do enjoy color pencils, I work faster with the former two mediums.

WHERE DO YOU GET THE POSES?

I don't "get" poses from things much anymore. One, maybe two of the poses in this entire Tomb were taken from magazine poses I thought were neat and appropiate, otherwise the rest of the posing is sheer imagination. That's just my buildup of experienece and practice at play. I sometimes sit down, and sketch a horde of vivacious little stick figures, and then I pick poses out of the buch; it helps me think.

WHAT COLOR IS THE CAULDRON GUARDIAN?

Wow, some of you are paying really close attention around here O.O.
There are no color pictures of the Guardian what so ever. She only appeared in B/W, and what you can derive from her pictures is that she's a being of pure light; even her speech bubbles are surrounded in sparkle^^. When I draw and color her as faintly blue, I'm only making an artistic guess. She could be yellow, pure white, iridescent, anything; only Takeuchi knows for sure.
